OpenPandora is independent from GPH, and the Pandora is not fake at all. They are already mass-producing some of the components for it.

Emulation usies one type of hardware to do a task (like run a game) which was originally intended to be done by another type of hardware.
So the pandora can run types of code that were meant for other consoles.
And since all the games you've played on those consoles are already uploaded to the web you don't even have to open the old boxes.
