The simulation is performed with the help of open source CFD solver OpenFOAM. For the present simulation customized solver has been developed from the available turbDyMFoam and six degree of freedom (6DOF) solver. Here at the inlet of the computational domain 10m/sec velocity has been applied. No RPM is defined for blades as it is one of the outputs required. With the help of six degree of freedom (6DOF) algorithm required forces and momentum has been calculated from the velocity and pressure flow field. Here other then theta-Z all other degree of freedom is restricted and from the theta-Z required RPM is calculated. The calculated RPM is applied to the turbine blades. For the sliding of mesh, available GGI capability of OpenFOAM is used.
