all i hear is a major phish influence without enough knowledge of theory to back it up. the jam starts off pretty cool with a nice groove and some nice time changes but they dont fully understand the concept of TnR. also their buildups are very repetitive. whatever, not tryin to piss on anyones good time. everybodys listens to what speaks to them. if someone gets off listening to freekin justin bieber then that just shows that they're shallow and you dont need to poke fun at them for it.

Awesome... so you've made a sweeping generalization about a band based on a small snippet of improv in a youtube video? Phish and Umphrey's are my 2 favorite bands but making a comparison between the two is useless. They are very different bands. Not all bands must sound like Phish (UM has plenty of T/R so I don't understand your statement). UM does plenty of things phish can't and vice versa...

@gonephishin123 there is no influence here this is straight umphreys improve right here jake has such a different style of guitar playing then trey, he plays so much faster and more precise and is way more technical. and if any one is influenced by phish it is joel with paige casue i can see joel being the new school to paiges old school even though you cant hear it here
