"He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife." - Douglas Adams

@VirtualInsanity and I believe the lyrics doesn't mean literally. those dumb people are too stupid to get offended. I agree with you!

Wow, how pathetic religious people are. Whining because of a song. If he doesn't believe in your god then you shouldn't be trying to impose your beliefs on other people. Respect others beliefs or non beliefs pelase! Each one decides to believe or not to believe. There's no reason for believing one or the other are superior -_-

Belief or disbelief in God is a vastly uninteresting question. The real important things are if you like this song. If you can't like a song because the band disagrees with your religious views, I feel sorry bad for you.

@Brittbo3465 Why must you Christians always asume that when someone says anything against "God" it means the christian one?
I don't understand people who get offended when it says "just praying to a God that I don't believe in." He's not shouting some anti-God bullshit or something--though I believe in God, sometimes you're so down in the dumps that you just feel like absolutely NO ONE is around you, which is probably the message he's trying to convey in this song. I hate that they changed it on several radio stations...
