State authorities report a medical helicopter crash in western Tennessee has killed three crew members.
Tennessee Emergency Management Agency spokesman Jeremy Heidt in Nashville says it was a medical flight that crashed into a field shortly after 6 a.m. CDT during a rainstorm Thursday morning near Brownsville.
Heidt said the Hospital Wing helicopter had flown a patient from Parsons to a Jackson hospital and was returning to its base in Brownsville when it went down. All those aboard were crew members.
The crash scene is near U.S. 70 and about 55 miles northeast of Memphis.

Thanks for caring and for your prayers from everybody. One of the nurses was my cousin. She was only in her 30s and had a son that had just turned 4 and a 10 year old stepdaughter. It's so hard to believe it was almost a year ago. I'm so proud of her but I miss her like crazy. I'm so proud of her husband for working, finishing college, and taking care of two kids on his own. They are amazing people.
