inspired by the earth zoom tutorial by andrew kramer, http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials.html?id=15

I took some photos with my cellphone while I was walking down the street, then I put them in adobe after effects, scaled them pickwhiped them, and, VOILA!

an infinite zoom.

it's look like a rocket flying arround...

I made a little mess with the masks but if it goes fast you wont notice that.

  • lol You put in some of the force and destruction soud effects from Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy. I think.

  • you know them

  • how many photos did you take?

how many do you think are good for about a 1/4 mile of sidewalk?

  • i dont know... i just take them...

lets say... hmm... 3 photos by block (100mts)

i dont use that metric system, but just take them, maybe when you do the trick in AE you´ll be like "oh damn, i need another photo here" or not, in fact, some of them in my case were useless because of the perspective or something and I just jump to the next.

so, just go out there and take some photos. you will know how many.

  • Awesome. The movie "Limitless" uses such effect for an intro, and the effects artist is taking all the credit, but Andrew Kramer did it first!
