Every day 300,000 children die due to lack of water and poor sanitation. Billions of people do not have access to safe water. Environmental change threatens to make this situation worse but a more immediate danger is emerging. Control of the world's water is falling into the hands of the rich and water may soon take the place of oil as the world's most trade able - and coveted - commodity - not a basic human right. In a future when market forces set the price of a glass of water, will many more people will be left too poor to drink?

  • Privatizing water like that in a poor country and also charging her when she is no longer using it and her pipes are filled concrete? Talk about abuse of capitalism and evil, that's f'n evil.

  • @domdadon018 and btw since the cities raised taxes for dogs (yes, we pay taxes for dogs in germany) water is cheaper than a dog.

  • @TeronGorefiendxxx i live in germany, in the ruhr-area. this is the biggest city region with the most inhabitans in europe and our water is privatised. the waters distributor called RWW, provide nearly a million ppl water in the rhein-ruhr area. shareholders of RWW are our local cities, BUT the big mother company is RWE, one of the four energy companies in germany they just made headlines with illegal cartel agreements. water is not the problem, but the energy supply..

  • in poor countries there should always be a fountain well thing so the poor can get clean water. This should of been one of the things we fixed in year 2000 at lest made a promise to the world would be fixed but like debt they where not willing to give up all that future money as long as there earning a buck they don't care if they die they want these people to struggle and to stay down but there raping us all just look how much australia water, property, renting, food, electricity all massive.

  • The iron lady was the biggest witch in history, hope that she will die painful. however which countries in europe have privatisated waters? It looks like a scandinavien country in the video.
