@benage1991 - Actually......... You do. Maybe you don't if you scuba dive or something like that. But you are suppose to put it under your hood, so it seals against your face. And here's the reason why: (I refuse to call you an idiot because I don't know your mother):
As you go deeper, the pressure will compress your suit, if Your mask is on the outside of your hood - It will leak. It goes on your face - ask a professional.

@IEsorry - From what I hear from contacts in CA. The Pacific Ocean is freakin Cold! I would say 5mil is a good suit all around! If you get too hot, you could flush out your suit with the ocean water.

@boozouz - I see the length of the speargun based on 2 things. 1- visibility of the water. If you can only see about 5 feet, you will want a shorter speargun. 2- what are you shooting? If you are shooting big fish, you will want a more powerful gun to get the the spear through the fish. For Wisconsin (vis average: 8-15 feet) I use a 75cm Hammerhead Evolution.

@littleduke1000 - It's a non-scented Body soap and water. 10-20% Soap 80-90% Water. You can use hair conditioner as well. Some people don't spray it in either, they mix it up, dump the whole thing into the suit, holding onto the openings and swish it around. I think spraying it - is less mess.

@chibi2666 - Thanks. I got my float down at a dive shop in FT Lauderdale. Its called THE SHARDANA by OMER. It's a rigid plastic, very durable but also- fairly heavy. Not a good float with BIG waves. Holds lots of gear! and I could use it to rest on. Very nice!

Hey Nice video.
Where did you get your float?
You really shouldn't connect you float line to yourself. If you get caught up underwater and your line gets snagged your screwed

@Will93bn - This is true. The waters we dive do not really have structures to stop us. Weeds mainly. But that is very true.

who needs wet suits
MrGunrilla 1 month ago
@MrGunrilla - don't know if this is a question or more just a statement. A wetsuit will keep you warmer and you can stay in the water longer. If you spear in the Ocean or salt water, it protects you from jellyfish. Suits also protect you from the sun, structures in the water, fins of the fish, ect.... You don't have to wear a wetsuit if you don't want. In the Summer when the water is 80 degrees - I wear shorts and a lycra top.
