And mixing brands isn´t wrong, as long as you choose compatible sounds. This is not the case.

You can crash a ride. There is crash ride cymbals ya know. And you can use more than one brand of cymbal. Zildjian cymbals tend to be a little darker then Paiste. The only reason a lot of people use same company cymbals is because they get endorsed.
