I'm an athletic young man, and watching this (and the Olympics in general) does nothing but make my chest feel like it's going to explode in happiness. I think it's beautiful to be able to see people who have worked so, so, SO hard for there time to shine, for some that is less than 30 seconds.
Congratulations to any medal winners, and anybody who didn't win a medal should be just as proud to be part of a celebration of human achievement.

being in a chair myself with the urge to still strive and compete at all aspects of life it sadens me to see some of these shallow postings. It surprizes me how many people confuse special olympics with paralympics there two totally differant events. If we had more national coverage might clear that up for some folks. there are able bodied people in some games at the paralympics, such as basketball for instance, people should research more b4 commenting on here
