Today I'm going to register for an account in ARTstor on a campus computer, so I can benefit from some of the advanced functionality on the ARTstor Website.
It's pretty easy. First I will open a web browser and go to www.artstor.org, now I'm ready to enter the Digital Library by clicking on the "GO" button.
On the right hand side of the screen I see a place to Register/Login. Since this is my first time using ARTstor for class, I do need to register, so I'll click on the register link.
This new window is asking for some basic registration information, first an email address so I will go ahead enter my will enter my school or personal email. Then I will create a 7 character password.
And below here, it is asks if I would like to receive updates about, about new ARTstor content releases and tools. I think that would be very useful, so I will keep that checked. It then asks if I would like to receive a survey from ARTstor. ARTstor usually sends these out only once a year, so that would be okay with me.
Now all I need to do is to go down to the bottom and click submit. I get a conformation message letting I have registered and my email address will appear to let me know im logged in. Great, I can take images I've found and organize them into image groups, attach personal notes to images, and best of all, now I can use ARTstor from any other computer, even off campus.
