Yes it's true about the cost factor. But, after all, is it not a personal preferance of power plants? I am more comfortable with a Ford BB for torque reqasons. How about you?

@accobra033 Any engine builder and machinist of any intelligence will tell you that from a tuning aspect an engine is an engine. The only reason that Chevy engines are used in so many builds is because of their superior design. You can build a Ford that will make just as much power, it will just cost you more money and more time tuning.

Why would an owner put a chev stroker in a Ford? Because the owner cheaped out, and put a less expensive power plant in his build. Besides you can tune a chev with a buiness card and a small wrench. Tuning a Ford takes a little more finess, and knowhow. GM motors have a diferent firing order than a Ford. Most chevs dont sound as well, or make as pleasing a sound.

At the beginning of the video the pipes were still silver...

The brand of engine is not all that important in a kit car..ford...chevrolet, not a great deal of difference and both sound the same when driving. i've even seen late series BMW engines used. When you think about it, I'm sure Carrol Shelby had a few people lauging at him for using an American engine in a British car.
I'm glad to see the guy starting the car knows how to break an engine in. There must be at least 5,000 videos on this site of first starts where the guy actually pegs the tach.

Chevy > Ford
The wheels are 18" halibrand replicas made in the UK by a company called Image Wheels.
BTW I've seen the light and am currently building a Ford FE motor for the next cobra! :-D
