Went back to the Newport Heights area on a nice Tuesday morning. But when the afternoon hit, the sun came down really hard. To the point where I had to ask one of the collectors where a local 7-Eleven was.

During this adventure I filmed nothing but front loaders throughout the whole day. This is not the first part of my adventure, but in a voting poll, this truck is what everyone wanted to see first.

So here we've got truck 34: A CNG New Way Mammoth on an Autocar ACX chassis. And behind the wheel, is Newport Beach's fastest collector on the one-man truck crew: Ryan! This time without a hat and sunglasses. Which is not a common sight of him. Most of the time he's got one or the other on. Or both in most cases. But enough of my ranting. Enjoy the video. Part 2 coming soon.

Filming date: 19th July, 2011
Filming location: Newport Heights, Newport Beach, CA.
Camera used: Canon FS10

  • @legodude24652

Thanks lego. One of the best collectors on the overall crew. Those energy drinks aren't really that good for anyone, but at least they give me the energy to chase trucks and do other shit lol. Tastes like licorice too haha :)

  • sorry i'm used to the blade(wall) not the flatt blade (the one he likes)

Thanks. With the Amrep-style blade, you can dump more into the hopper while packing.

You're lucky. Our low bids are either Toter or Rehrig. And if they don't choose Rehrig, they always buy EVR II. Which suck ass.

  • @rws676

    Thanks a bunch!!!!!

If it's rare in SoCal alone, I can only imagine central and NorCal. They only have two and both came into the fleet about a year and a half ago.

  • Awesome footage! Awesome truck! Awesome driver! just flat AWESOME!!!

also the mammoth is a rare dind in CA (or so I would think) but Newport beach seems to be pretty high on New Way...

  • @3amrepmike3

Yes that be a Monster. And they're too good not to be hooked :D

  • @RainbowDisposal Saw what looked like a Monster in your hand around 7:05, sorry if I got you hooked on them lol

  • @3amrepmike3

Thanks. Haha yes those are street names. All of which have alleys collected by random FL's at the end of the day.
