Depends on the spec imo, A BW is clearly superior to a Sorc when looking at the capability to bomb, however in 1 vs 1 with the same spec, gear and level, it's from my experience the way you play that determins if you win ore lose, I have a sorc and have killed 2 BW's however they was rather bad, didn't even try and silence me a single time.

mm scorcerers are pretty ownage but i think bw are better coz i can kill 2 v 1 but it could be the scorcerers i was fighting... i dnno really 5/5 gr8 song

Actually as of 1.2 a half-decent SM should be able to wtfpwn a Sorc in a matter of seconds lol, but it can be an equal fight :)

because sorcerer over power swordmasters and Sorceres are one of the most burst dmg giver in the game, swordmasters bloow since the nerf
