A fantastic short documentary about the british RTV 31Hovertrain, tested in the early 70's north from Cambridge. Archive featuring a demonstration of the Induction principle by Eric Laithwaite.
The RTV 31 Hovertrain prototype still exist today, it is located in Peterborough Railway museum, UK. Check my other video to see the test track and the prototype nowadays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9WS5yvTXuc

Just past through Peterborough railway station and there is one of these linear motor trains still mounted up on a short peice of concrete track. It still looks amazing after all this time. If your traveling north through the station it's just before you get there and obviously if your heading south it's on the right..

Great!,. .amazing that the UK did not find any takers for this project. Since i have a home in Earith,. even more of a shame there was not a line installed there!
Do you have any plans to put up the other video you mentioned?,.. i would love to see it.
