Thanks Dr. Miller... wonderful videos

If people would try the sitar, sarod, oud, rabab, violin, flute, piano, upright bass, cello, viola and tabla I think world music would improve.
I spend my day's playing these very same instruments and I have a rich life. Your video's on u-tube are an inspiration for me.

Dr. Miller,
I am with you about world music. I am playing mostly rabab, sarod, oud and violin every day. Sometimes I also play cello, viola, upright bass, piano, flute, sitar and tabla, If other people would try these instruments world music would be much improved.
I have seen you on u-tube and you have been an inspiration for me.

Dr. Miller,
I am with you on the situation with music. I think it's because everyone is playing guitar. I have several guitars including a classical instrument. But I spend my day's playing mostly violin, rabab, sarod and oud. Some day's I play piano, flute, upright bass, cello, viola, sitar and tabla. If others would try these instruments then I bekieve the music of the world would improve. I have seen you on u-tube playing various instruments and you have been an inspiration for me.

Raviji and his daughter Anoushka began their concert at the univ. of Florida in 2006 with this Raag. Right around sunset too!

Salam. Yes this was one of the Shiraz Arts Festival performances at the Hafezieh in about 1970, maybe one year earlier. I wasn't at this Shiraz Festival but at all the others until they ended in the late 70s. Dr. Lloyd Miller

Yes, I was wondering when someone would remark how beuatiful this performance by Raviji was. The atmosphere of the Hafezie on a placid Shiraz evening was a perfect venue for spiritual and calming yet mentally challenging virtuoso Indian music. Too bad that in recent decades almost all the music in the world has become an obnoxious mindless soulless thumping. I wonder if the world will ever vomit the horrid noise imposed on us and return to real quality arts of ethnic traditions. Dr. Lloyd Miller
