Galactic Pinball - Space Pinball (Virtual Boy Demo)

This is an early demo of Galactic Pinball for the Virtual Boy that was at CES 1995. Those who have played it will tell you it is one of the best pinball video games ever made. It's the perfect game to pick up and play, which was good for this system since it was kind of hard on the eyes for extended periods.

This video is exactly how it appeared on the site Planet Virtual Boy (www.vr32.de) although it's coded in the DivX Codec and my computer tends to freak out when I try to play DivX stuff. So I will share it on here so you all can watch it easily and I can watch it without my computer freezing. Enjoy

I actually think that something like Virtual Boy could be a success today if they market it right; the technology for proper 3D graphics has come a long way in 12 years, so mebbe they could apply it w/o going overboard in expenses. After all, people use full color 3D setups in training w/o eye problems, and something similar could be made cheaply. Hell, it'd be badass if they did something like this as an accessory for the Wii or PS3.

@abridgedfanboy So visionnary, 3 years ago. Now there is the Sony HMD as an accessory of the PS3 and the 3DS as a standalone Nintendo 3D console.

I broke out the virtual boy last night and played this game for a while. It's one of the best pinball games IMO. I like the bonus games especially the one where you have to shot the comets down.

damn, this system had so many great elements to it. It's too bad the starting line up was so half assed. There were only about 5 or 6 good games that ever came out for this system. Though I'm sure the price point, headaches and monochromatics are what killed it. (not to mention it just looked weird ad fuck)

I was going through my storage shed when I came across my old Virtual Boy. Figured I'd take it back to the house and give it a go for old times sake. Immagine my surprise when I found Galactic Pinball still in it's original packaging. Dunno what I should really do with it XD.
