I'm skeptical about this "El Live" thing. First, working for them doesn't make you a "Star", that's just the gimmick they use for you to join. Working smokey bars, playing non-original music 6 nights/week, no insurance for major illness (remember, swine flu comes from Asia), and do you have to pay them back is the contract isn;t fullfilled? Things to seriously think about.. This promotion reminds me of music scams in the 1980s- 'EVERYBODY WILL BE A STAR!!!"

In fairness to EL Live most of what you listed is pretty standard for overseas gigs. Smokey bars, cover music 6 nights a week, no insurance, and being bound by contract....but the promising to be a star is wrong.
However, I have not worked with them, so I can't speak on their professional practices.
