And for everyone that hasnt worked it out yet it missed. but if you do want one to come close wait till friday 13th april 2029 where there will be a asteroid called 99942 Apophis and that will pass just 8500 miles away from earth, in space terms just a stones throw away.

We will never know when one of those space rocks will slam into earth. We might be asleep in our bed and wake up to a nightmare. Life is unpredictable, not even NASA could predict life.

0.0018 AU is still a whopping 270,000km from earth. Im not sure if it measures from the center of the earth. If so it would then be 245000km from the surface of the earth :S
