MIDRANGE - The Band

MIDRANGE is a Rock and Roll, Bangalore based band. The band plays music from the
classics of the early 1970's to Modern Progressive Rock. The members have been strongly
influenced by the likes of The Beatles, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Uriah Heep, Doors,
Pink Floyd, Santana, AC/DC, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Guns 'n Roses, Queen, to name a few,
apart from their own compositions.

The band was formed in 1988 as "APOCRYPHA", with Tony (Bass/Vocals), Ajit
(Keyboards), Dominic (Drums/Vocals) and Angelo (Guitars/Vocals). The band played
at many clubs, pubs and live gigs, also on Television (Doordarshan) and Radio.

We had renamed ourselves "MIDRANGE", as people had difficulties pronouncing "APOCRYPHA".
In 1992, the band changed its name to "MIDRANGE" to reflect the kind of music played, which
was a combination of soft to hard. The band had a small change in the line up with Tony being
replaced by Sarat (Bass), Sidney (Vocals), Ajit (Keyboards), Dominic (Drums/Vocals), Angelo
(Guitars/Vocals). The band continued to perform at the local circuit, also the band played at the
Bangalore Golf Club, RSI, ASMT, KMC Greens (Manipal), Anna Stadium (Ooty), SSIT (Tumkur).
Interviewed & had their own compositions played on FM91 radio and so on. The band had begun
to compose their own music since 1996, their music had various reviews in leading publications
and the members of the band were also interviewed and aired on the SITI channel TV.
Also the band has composed Jingles on Star TV, Star Sports for Ads like Big Fun Bubble Gum
(Aired during Cricket Matches), Levis Jeans, etc. Also own compositions by Angelo for Directors
of Bosch in Germany.

Now the current line-up is Gerry (Bass), Dr. Santo (Drums/Vocals) who happens to be
the early drummer with Angelo from school band days, when they used to win a lot of
competitions. Clinton (Keyboards/Vocals), Angelo (Guitars/Vocals).

They have played at the wine festival in GOA (2005), the Bangalore Habba, Opus, Speed Zone,
Freedom Jam, Planet M, Trans Indus, The Club, other pubs viz. Mars 2211, Spinn, Black
Cadillac, Cross Roads, Take 5, Night Watchman, Geoffrey's, Legends of Rock, Kyra & Java City to
name a few. Also with various other artistes at 5 Star Hotels viz. The Oberoi, Taj Residency,
West End, Le Meridian, Windsor Manor, Bangalore Club, Catholic Club, Royal Orchid Central, etc.

The band has also been featured in many Newspapers, e.g. Indian Express, Times of India,
Deccan Herald, Asian Age, Groove (Goa) & Magazines such as Rock Street Journal (RSJ - May
2005), Rave Rock, etc.

VINCENT ANGELO - Vocals, Guitars.

FUADH aka FARAAZ KHAN ("FAREB" Fame) - A grand support for having been a great
multi-talented individual, movies / TV actor, artist, guitar player, poet ..., composes lyrics for the
band.

The sound is somewhat OK, but the video is not clear - can't make out you guys. Clinton is that you? But a little brighter than the other one.
