I must be getting old, I can't remember if it was '88 or '89 when that big quake hit San Francisco CA, but we (Whatta Band) were playing at Smith River in northern California when it struck. The camera was on a tripod and I don't know how much shaking movement is visible in this reduced sized video, but sometimes you can hear the sound a little warbly from the vibrations. We'd just started "My Baby Thinks He's A Train" when wave after wave of tremors and aftershocks started rolling in. We continued to play and people continued to dance, but it was a weird feeling and difficult to play with my steel solid one second and then "moving around" the next. :-)
