555 Timer Throbbing/Fading LED without Programming

This is a simple circuit that fades an LED indefinitely at a variable rate using a 555 timer and a few other components.

That was a major thing I overlooked when I created the schematic/pcb

Dude 555's are sweet! You can use pin 3 as an audio out also. That looks (sort of) like a triangle wave to me. Use a smaller cap between 3 and ground (1u-.1u) for audible frequencies.

Thats what I'm looking for........I need that effect for my terminator T-800 endeo skull display prop I build.........Led eyes fading in and out....did you ever post that schematic.......
