Obama Myths 101 - Maybe some of those who were misled by Obo are willing to learn the truth about his eligibility. Obama has lied when he put forth a certificate of live birth on fight the smears instead of his original birth certificate. Why did he truly go to Hawaii when grandma was sick? Quickly thereafter a statement was issued saying Hawaiian officials have seen and verify his birth certificate. Scratching my head... more lies, more fraud, more BS!

The court house Birth Certificate is the OFFICIAL LEGAL declaration of birth for any and all purposes in the USA or on foreign soil. The Federal Government will accept the court house certificate to issue a passport.

And Obama has produced his long form, and every case related to challenging his citizenship has been thrown out of court as frivolous.

Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama's mother) was a natural born American from Kansas. She went to high school in Washingtion St. Their family moved to Hawaii in 1960. She never left the US before Barack was born. The law you are trying to cite only would apply if Obama was born out of the country, which he wasn't;

There are no adoption records that prove Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro. Even if he was adopted, he would not have lost his US citizenship. In order to become an Indonesian citizen, he would've first had to have renounced US citizenship, which he could not do as a child, neither could his parents do for him.

Section 349(a)(5) of the INA explains this quite clearly.

No where in US law does it specify anywhere that in order to be a natural born citizen, that you need two citizen parents AND be born on US soil. There are those that believe that is true and there are those, like myself, that believe a natural born citizen is simply someone that is born a citizen (a citizen at birth).

Title 8 of the US Code outlines 8 categories of how a person acquires citizen at birth status. People that fall into any of those 8 categories are considered NBC's.

I think I have heard he was adopted by his stepfather OTHERWISE he could not have lived in Indonesia, I know that much, and his mother did not live in a US state LONG enough to qualify, is that right or wrong?

Obama was born in Hawaii (US soil). That makes him a citizen at birth jus soli (right of soil/territory).

His mother was American, which also makes him a citizen at birth jus sanguinis (right of blood).

His fathers citizenship has no bearing on Barack Jr's being a natural born American citizen.

There are no adoption records that prove he was adopted. It wouldn't matter if he was....

Where he was born is not important ...as he had a natural kenyan father and then a stepfather who was indonesian ( assuming he was adopted, as he took his stepfathers surname) so he cannot be a natural american, which is one of the criteria to become president, so the place of birth is immaterial
