@HaiLsKuNkY I don't want to be the turd in the punchbowl for you, but Britain killed Irish people even as a kingdom. For example, not doing that much to help the Irish during the potato famine. Or all the other injustices against the Irish while it was under the King's (or Queen's) rule.

@aeiou99999 Under your logic, God Save the Queen should talk about the millions of Irish slaughtered by the English. Or the Indian colonial times. Every country has skeletons in the closet. Everyone understands it. Getting personal doesn't help your case, you just come off as being a huge tool. That doesn't mean you can't be proud from where you come, even for someone like me, who is farther away from being rich than you probably are. Our national anthem is fine, and in line with everyone else.

La Marseiallaise is about invading France. God Save the Queen talks about God (oh, no!) and is thus unacceptable, right? And it talks about battle in other verses. The way your sucking off Howard Zinn, you probably expect us to have a National Anthem that talks about how awful we are.
