Actually, if you think about the word itself, "theism" means a belief in God, from the Greek Theo root, and the "a" put at the front opposes it. It technically means a lack of belief in God, or a belief in no God, which is different from a total lack of religion. Believe me, I have a fairly decent knowledge of the classics and know my linguistics. Granted, I'm no Cambridge postgrad but I do have a good GCSE in Latin and know a fair bit about Greek.

@madforbooks Actually, Atheism is a lack of religion. Just saying :)

Not every religion. Take buddhism for example. I have never heard of anyone being meditated to death. Then again I don't know anything about buddhistic history.

@madforbooks I understand your point but can't fully agree with it. To me, it's easier not to believe in something for which there is only unverifiable, somewhat-conflicting, questionably-motivated secondhand evidence. I don't think that being able to justify and defend a viewpoint one has formed from experience and education is on the same level as having a religion which entails belief in an unverifiable and unfalsifiable hypothesis.

Hey everyone, just for the record I don't mind you expressing your opinions and I welcome a public debate over religion, but I do not like people saying "ignore religion" or "religion causes all the problems". In my opinion (as a Christian myself) the problems all stem from people tyring to ignore religion. Therefore, from now on any comments that are made that I think are unreasonable (if I judge them to be rude or derogatory in any way) shall be deleted post-haste.

Stupid song. Am I wrong, but is she mocking christians, and wants to encourage screwing around? So it's a typical anti-male anti-christian b*tch song. Does she not realize she came from a man and a woman that were probably married? or was she raised by wolves? how quickly she's throwing out the "conservative" culture she came from and gave birth to so she can belt out her f-ing cakehole this fktard song, to embrace the slutty non-religious popular culture that just results in cultural suicide.

I see what you mean, but it is possible to be Christian and enjoy this song. Actually, I am a Protestant Christian myself. However, I am able to listen to this song and forget the message, and just concentrate on the music, because musically, this is an OK song. And really, the lyrics of any song are really the least important part (in my opinion, anyway.)
