EDIT: I have just been informed that Boomer is a kuwagamushi beetle, a Japanese stag beetle. Thank you, VRHyoumaru.

I think he was always called "Boomer Kuwanger" in the Japanese version. Their trying to rename him something redundant (you can already hear "boomerang" in the original name, I think) is one more reason I hated this game.
