Capt Jerry Zimmer was an F4 Phantom pilot, whose aircraft was shot down on August 29, 1969, approximately 20 miles South of Da Nang, Vietnam. He had been in the country six months when the event occurred. Neither Jerry nor his navigator, 1st Lt. Al Graf, were able to eject because of the altitude of the aircraft and other factors. Jerry and Al were classified as MIA, but everyone knew they were KIA because of the lethal weaponry on their aircraft.

Although Jerry has been gone for four decades, our family recently learned that his remains might be recoverable, so we are doing everything possible to work with JPAC to make this happen and bring Jerry home to America where he belongs. Follow the story to bring him home at http://bringingjerryhome.com
