this is cool, but a voice like steve marriot's should never be made second fiddle.

I understand - problem is that AK was not your average 60s Rock n Roll rebel: he predates the 60s and went on to have a parallel career in broadcasting. It doesn't help that he did the voice overs for Andrex toilet paper.

He practically invented the RnB scene in early 60s UK: nods to Chris Barber & John Mayall!

Alexis was the grand daddy of R & B in Brittan... the mentored everybody who meant anything in Rock and Blues... He was the man. Steve was showing respect...

Korner had alot.Marriott, FREE and all his completely awesome blues performers in the UK but he didn't produce Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer.Purely American and probably the greatest in my opinion.Although Kossoff is my personal fave.

Watched him live at Liverpool silver blades ice rink in the early sixties.He play a lot of harmonica in those days.
