this is cool, but a voice like steve marriot's should never be made second fiddle.

I understand - problem is that AK was not your average 60s Rock n Roll rebel: he predates the 60s and went on to have a parallel career in broadcasting. It doesn't help that he did the voice overs for Andrex toilet paper.

He practically invented the RnB scene in early 60s UK: nods to Chris Barber & John Mayall!

Looks like Steve is plugged into a silverface Fender Twin. Probably with the volume on 10. Great sound, but loud as heck.. I've got a Super Reverb (1972) which gets that tone but a little more midrange, but that's half the power of the Twin.

don't think you can actually compare them. S Marriott was an amazing talent, fabulous voice and versatile. more than one band. Korner was though the man who got blues acts to the UK to begin with.. doubt that there was any competition here. both legends in their own way..
