This is narrated by the English painter...he unravels the story of zamindar as much as he heard ... so it seems that the story is not well-made or round one, but it is a fragment of lifestyle of a zaminder family,,

It's a shame that the writer of subtitles misheard far too many words in the english narration throughout the film, which has essentially changed the script and the storyline. Viewers should be aware of this calamity.

Why is the ending missing????

I was surprised to see the dull landlord going after the wife, even in the frame of those days he would be going for the sculptor, who behaved in an unprofessional way. When you get paid you have to do the job,and any sort of excuse like this will be appriciated.

Well, in the end it is narrated that "no one heard anything of the sculptor anymore". That seems to suggest that the sculptor has been killed..

why did she commit suicide??

Beautiful movie. poor women in those times. I was shocked to know the shocking fact of the horse and queen of what they called ashwamegh yagya. Shame on those people who wrote such shastras.
