Tornado passed within 1/4 mile of my mothers house today and did quite a bit of damage.
Truly a calm before the storm. Things had settled and quieted outside even a bit of sun out .
I was listening to the news and they said that the radar was showing rotation in my area.
Puzzled because the sky was actually brightening up, so grab my old Hi8 cam-corder and I went outside and there it was a few seconds later seemingly coming down the street .
Lots of damage but no reports of injuries so far.

That is so scary!! I drive through that intersection at Walgreen's several times each week.
