In remembrance of all those in all countries who perished in World War Two. Our tribute to them is taken from the new project 'Light At The End Of The Tunnel'. We hope and pray despite the current conflicts within the world, the future brings more peaceful times. Thanks to the many friends who sent me photos for this video, in particular Debbie Hopkins-Davies and Betty Tynan.

  • Steve Smith - How I always remember Peter's Dad on this day, his dedication to the Royal British Legion in every year selling poppies at East Finchley Station. Always sold more if it clashed with the Lord Mayor's Show. RIP Bill x

  • I found this video quite emotional. It was indeed 'our finest hour' Made with great feeling. Brought a little lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. Really well done!

  • @albainbridge1 Al, You know your comment made me play this again after a couple of months and must admit it's quite good !

  • This is a well put together collection of photos to go with the calming and lovely music. A very big 'Well Done' to you both. I enjoyed it very much.

  • Dawn, Thanks for your smashing comment here and on Stallion and BFI also. We thank you for that photo you sent us and used again here on this video. Pretty proud of this one, the music and the video are united and we hope we can only improve in the future. Your support is always welcome and appreciated. Hugs Steve (and Peter)

  • Oh Steve and Peter. This too is your finest hour for this is the most tender and deeply moving music. It gives honour to the principles of man's desire for peace and freedom. With our Beloved Sir Winston Churchill and those who gave their lives shall never be forgotten. You have done an incredible and most honourable thing here. This will always remain my favorite. Thank You. Love, Maricet

  • Maricet :-) So pleased this has become one of your favorites and thanks for your words.

  • Forwarded by Maricet Delaney - My step-father's birthday was ll-ll. He served in his country and was laid to rest respectfully, with solemn military honours. I will never forget "Our Finest" and the hours of their glory and sacrifices. Thank You for this beautiful honour ...you have given them, on all our behalves. Bless you Steve and Peter and those dear ones in your lives for whom I send my deep respect.

  • I sent this amazing video to East Kirkby Airfield where alot of the photos were taken....especially the Lanc and they were very impressed indeed! Still one of my favourites...I LOVE IT! L.A.A. XXXXX

  • Steve, this is a very interesting and inspiring piece. My father went into the army when he was 17 in 1939.He ended up in bomb disposal...lots of stories. A cousin was a signaller. They only contacted each other last year and exchanged by email many strange and amusing stories. He was the first soldier into Belson and only came across the camp by accident.

  • Thanks Dan, your praise means a lot.
