Bulgarian Police

Police violence takes a whole new level in the small south-east European country. Here a cop fails to see the camera. He acts like no police officer should ever do. Imagine what such officials do to protesters behind closed doors.

This was taken at the nation-wide anti-government protest that took place on January 14th 2009. It was organized to show the people's discontent with the economic downturn, political failure, the corruption on all levels, ever growing violence on the streets, and the inactivity at fighting against the mafia.

Police attacked the peaceful protest of the student, agricultural business, green peace, and pensioner, organizations, which ended in rioting and then true example of police brutality. The police say they got a bomb thread so they wanted to end the protest and people didn't cooperate. So they tried to save them... Around 300 people (2/3 underage) were hospitalized. The demonstration was called a riot aiming at threatening the national security and stability.

@blessing786 Hmm depends .....this was 2 years ago now there is less corruption, But Still sometimes they get away because, if you look at the facts the policeman didn't do anything besides swearing,and this was just a cleanup after a protest
