Here is my motor kayak final version. It has all I need for fishing adventure!! Not only it is a motor kayak, it is a paddleable kayak. I only add 15kg loading to the stern. The kayak retains the natural balance. The play time is about 3hours with mixing high & low speed motoring. The motor installed at perfect position, with easy access motor speed control behind my seat, foot steering and retractable motor for paddling. I also added an elbow control on/off rocker switch on top of control module. I can keep my hand on reel all the time. It is truely my ultimate motor fishing kayak. You can see my other video with motor kayak in action. I wish you enjoy it and like the way I setup my kayak :-)

  • Using motor for trolling & hand free fishing. Using paddle for travelling from A to B

  • Nice Setup ! I am going to copy that motor mount and steering system.

I also have a Jarvis watersnake Asp 18lb on a double kayak. I have run it with a 80Watt solar panel and maximiser (no battery). It goes well with the sun out, but when the sun goes down or the wind comes up you get stranded.

I'm interested to see any nice fish you have caught.

Thanks for watching! Please post your kayak video when ready.

  • Nice Darwincm! In addition to fishing I would strap on a large basket and use it to access prime mushroom hunting spots.

    Keep up the great work!

I usually target beam/flatheads and put keeper to floating keeping net. The rest I will release. I try to keep less tall things to keep wind factor lower.

    Cheers Darwin

  • Sloppy but I'm sure it is functional.

  • Great setup, I have a Cobra Fish and Dive and this would work great. Good job.

  • very nice, looks like it took you a long time to design and build because of its complexity ....

  • Nice, i like it

  • cool but thats what a paddle is for

  • very cool... very creative...

  • I have the same trolling motor that I am going to mount to my kayak. My kayak is 12 feet long, and I am wondering how well it will push my kayak. Your kayak looks about the same length as mine, so how well does that trolling motor push your kayak?
