I am bipolar and have an anxiety disorder. For me it's not a matter of me thinking that I'm okay and that I don't need my meds. I fight with myself to take them because I don't have the energy to do it. Just simply getting up getting a glass of water and taking them seems to take a lot of energy. I have been diagnosed with this for 12 years and not wanting to take them has never been the case for me.
This is so true--even when medicated as a bipolar person, this something that is a constant struggle--staying on track! Knowing my triggers also really helps me to stay on track! Also, I know if I'm going to stay alive staying on track and doing my meds is actually and literally a life or death decision!!
ive done that 8 times..everytime i get happy i stop taking my meds..=/ idk why...

You never recover from bipolar...
You're always in recovery...
You're always going to be bipolar.
It's treatable, but it never goes away.
It's a never ending cycle.
