@bcta302 I think you will find a majority of PC hardware is pretty similar seeing as not everyone in the world knows how to build a PC and they think the only choice with computers is either HP, Dell or Apple. I don't see why anyone would buy a desktop from Apple, that is a waste of money. I have a custom built PC as well but only for games and rendering videos, I use my MacBook Pro for everything else.

I also have both... a custom built computer with dualboot to both MAC OS and Windows.
No offense to anybody, you have to be really stupid to buy something from a company that forces you to use a certain hardware or even software.
With PC you have a choice of brand and capabilities...with Mac you will always end up paying too much.

Yeah but try upgrading your mac when new technology comes out. It may act like a pc, but doesn't age like one.

@TheUberDeity Post links cause im curious on where you got these benchmarks, considering a lot of Macs hardware isn't inhouse anymore so they are basically PC's. I'm gonna have to call BS on you...

@oscargodson What are you talking about? You cant seriously game on a mac. Most games run Direct X which is exclusive to Microsoft. They have a patch so you can run DX, but it only goes up to 9.0c you might as well get a console. Explain to me why Mac Pro's offer 5870's which are DX 11 cards, but without windows 7 you're restricted to DX 9. Be smart learn and build a PC, and if you like the Mac operating system so much install it on your pc. I tri boot with Ubunto, OSX and Windows 7.
