I think rdeco73 meant Mad Max "in spirit". There was a 65 Valiant in Mad Max, but we're talking 70's coupes, so.. Mad Max 2.. a "chrysler by chrysler" coupe with the back half cut open like a ute, the top of the bumper cut away and a pontiac grille & hood. It had a projectile turret on the back.. also a Charger with a fat stripe down the side, with 50's Buick teeth in the grille. Other MoPars include the Dodge C-series pickup & the pink gasser-style 59 DeSoto Firesweep.

They came with the Hemi 6cyl (yes, a hemi-headed 6cyl) 245ci, 265ci, or 318ci V8, or some export models had a 225ci slant 6, and a rare model had the 340ci V8, but the V8s were more of a luxury option. The Hemi 6's were exploited as the performance model, offering a 6-pack carb option on the R/T and the odd rare 770. 6-pack is now synonymous with 6-cyl in Australia as people who don't drive mopars are usually horribly ignorant. Manual transmission was either a BW 3- or 4-sp, auto was 904 or 727.
