@YouCatchMyDrift The generally accepted minimum line is 65lb braid, and a lot of people use up to 100. I use 80 personally. To answer your question, the fish will not be spooked by it.

Ive gone out fishing for these for two years basically every day. Everyone I bring out with gets one while I'm out fishing every day. The one day they want to come they get a 48incher. Pissed me off soo freaking much.
