What ever happened to the good music? i remember being 13 years old when I was listening to this music, now I realize that I was blessed and I feel sorry for the kids that now listen hi hop, rap, and all that shit. I belong to a generation where we discover we has a brain and we actually used it

@tskanderful Leon will be inducted into the Hall of fame in March, 2011. He'll be 69 in April. He's from Lawton, Oklahoma. He just got a street named for him in Tulsa. It's called Leon Russell Boulevard. And, yes, the man IS a legend in everyone's book.

Simply can't watch and listen without getting a big smyle on...and oh yeah...he WAS having fun....getting into that piano and his head (you know what I mean☺) Greatest sound I can find and often now a much needed fix..(and sooo easy on the eyes!!!) ..Back to those good ol' real days of R&R. Darn, got these ears ringing again...takes a true legend to do that!! Luv ma' man Leon! ....

Saw Leon Russell and John Sebastian with the Retina light Circus at Eagles Auditorium in Seattle summer or 1969. What a show. Wish they were like that now. Best $5 I've ever spent

That Beautiful Delta Lady was born in Mississipee, so I imagine it came naturally to Leon to call Rita that and write the song. Boy, he sure must have been in love with her (who wouldn't be) to write all those songs about her that Karen Carpenter, god bless her soul, made famous.

Thanks for this. Leon was low key here. When I saw him in Anaheim in 1970 he never sat down at all. What a concert that was. Oh yeah, those were the good old days.
