You are absolutely correct. It is of course an octagon. I've had my head full of hexagonal chess. Carrom is another excellent finger flicking game of which I have another introductory video to the simpler 'money' game version. I hope they both become more popular and widespread.

Don't mean to nit-pick, but the board is octagonal, not hexagonal. It's a fun game nonetheless, have you ever tried playing "carom board", very very popular in Pakistan/India.
