This printer 8500plus wan't let me print in black color only until I replace yellow cartridge which is showing empty! Is there anyway to bypass this problem?

I have one question. I'm about to buy this printer and i wanted to know if you can use it so scan multiple documents (like this speed copy thing, but using it so scan insted). Id like to see that if it's possible.

@blahblah162005 I have the same printer and no problems, (for the moment).
Only had to replace the priner heads one time, and obviously, the ink cartridges, but no problems.
