  • You guys could easily re-record the sound - with all the info, and make the video top quality, I'm sure you've already thought about it, but the visual is ok. I could do it for you in half an hour :-)

  • @MrSnarf2011

Thanks for the comments. The new video has been shot and we are just finishing the voice overs so it will be ready and uploaded very soon!

  • Looks like you shot this from up in a tree.

  • @dmo530 Hi,

    Thanks for the comments.

We realise these videos are of poor quality but it was just intended to show the basic process of how to build cables.

Due to the amount oif interest in this video will be making a much better version with plenty of close ups.

    Thanks

  • What advantages are there to using Speakons over XLR other than heavier current rating?

  • @TheBeebopper

There is not much more to it than that. Speakons are designed specifically for speakrs and will take a much heavier current. XLR can be used for speakers as well as other applications but are limited on how much current they can take.

    Thanks

  • You know why everyone is complaining?

Because I dont think anyone else has a speakon build/repair video on here

Speakon cables are also great for people that are crap at soldering or dont own a soldering iron.

  • Thanks for the comments everyone.
