Calm down. Chinese is a fairly simply language to learn and once you get the hang of it, it doesn't matter how fast you talk because your ears are trained to catch the words.
There are four different pronunciations for every word but all there is to it is practice.
I'm in my second year of study and it's actually a rather simple language, composition wise, that feels fairly natural to an english speaker. Of course there are many words that to the untrained ear sound identical. Eh, you get used to it.
