@MrILYJesus Have you read Psalms? You know David was an adulterer, murderer, liar, among other things, yet he was still called a man after God's own heart. Since when has asking for forgiveness from God not been enough to wash away our sins. It seems you're the one holding on to it but if God is who He says He is, then I'm sure He isn't holding onto everything Michael has asked forgiveness for
