. I have one full set of Polychromos (which were to be hard to find in the US in the 1970's and 1980's but are now easily available) and I have hundreds of Prismacolor pencils, which I use quite a bit

The Prismacolor white blends the Polychromos very well, but the Polychromos white is not much use as a blender. I bought a Prismacolor blending pencil but it seemed to be dry and stiff over the other colors, so I prefer using the white. It really isn't saturated enough with white pigment to tint the original hue too much.

I agree, the Polychromos hues are beautiful, I think they have more intense pigments (night green for example). Like you have mentioned, Prismacolors are more waxy, but are great for blending together on hot press illustration board with the white pencil as a blender (I rub the surface with a towel or flannel afterward for a beautiful shine).

@loliaart great! I think I'll go buy some.
I've used Prismacolor colored pencils for a long time and I've never tried other colored pencils before.. so i have one question. What is the biggest difference between Prismacolor and Faber-Castell? I really think I might buy and try out a new brand of colored pencils. Great video! :3

@CocoHotpix Hi! The big difference between the two brands is the leads. Faber Castell Leads are really dry, while Prismacolor's are really waxy. Its always good to have a few different kinds of pencils to see what looks the best.
