Someone from Have I Got News For You (the production company, Hat Trick Productions, not the BBC themselves) wrote to me asking for SIX free tickets to one of my London shows. Here are my thoughts, as recorded at the Dance House, Manchester, Spring 2011 UK tour.

  • I've truly never seen such a good example of someone NOT selling out and not putting money first. I'm in the U.K and 'Have I got news for you' is massive. The only problem is, I think Doug has a really important message, and it would be really helpful if lots more people heard it (god I sound so fucking serious in all my posts about Doug)

  • Doug Stanhope is the reincarnation of Bill Hicks in my view. Which is awesome.

  • man, doug, fuck

    like, shit, man

    what the fuck, you know?

    and holy shit!

    don't change, man

    shit.

  • AMAZING. doug. thank god.

  • Doug would of sucked as a panellist...i saw that episode of 8 out of 10 cats, they probably wouldn't be able to show half of what he said. Glad to see he's sticking to his strengths.

  • @woofalot13 Humour is subjective.

  • @woofalot13 Extremely funny, if you like comedians like Bill Hicks, George Carlin, or Stewart Lee.

If Michael McIntyre, Lee Evans, Frankie Boyle, are more to your taste then probably not.

  • The somewhat ironic part is that is they don't get the tickets for free they'll likely write it off as a business expense which mean, becuase it's the BBC, the British taxpayer has to pay for it. Either way those corporate cuntbags don't have to spend a nickle of their easy-earned money.

  • I bet the guy got his tickets.

  • Can't wait, seeing in newcastle next month... total legend Stanhope, needs his own show in uk, fking BBC rather give their money to unfunny fucks like michael mckintyre or russell howard (had to google his name, the useless twat)
