Every year, composer Phil Kline records an "outdoor ambient music piece" for boom boxes and traverses the country, distributing cassette tapes and ghetto blasters to ordinary citizens to be played at loud volume. On Saturday, his Unsilent Night hit the East Village, and nymag.com's intrepid Jonah Green was on hand to feel the noise.
Looks like they got a real humdrum life if they find this to be fun and exiting...

December 12th at 7PM for Unsilent Night this year. I can't wait. I did it last year and it was one of the most memorable events I've ever participated in.

if they had got 100 people to walk through a town playing hip hop at loud volumes then the same sort of people who liked this video would be disliking the other
pointless wank with no purpose

You're right about that. Ignore these suckers with the thumbs down business, they are uneducated about good music and the artists behind it.
