Wonderful memories from my days as a Pan Am stewardess.

Music copyright claim by WMG (Warner Music Group) has forced me to remove the original music that fit my video so well ... "Come Fly With Me" sung by the chairman of the board, Frank Sinatra. WMG , I was doing nice things with Frank's song - thanks for nothing!

Colette, Elaine, Alla, or anyone else from our PAA graduating class, drop me a line.

  • I was in Class 1 (Jan. 3) 1970. I flew with Holly in Miami. Then I went to NY in Crew Scheduling. Anyone remember Zoe Hirschfield? She'd be hard to forget! Your video brought back a lot of fond memories!

  • @01panana

OMG! Zoe Hirschfield was legend. She was hilarious and a loose cannon. Zoe was bluntly honest and expressive in ways most of us never imagined.

    Thanks!

Back when flying had class and you were treated like a king.

Today its just like a greyhound bus that happens to have wings...

Flying truly sucks today, fees for baggage , fees for food

    long lines , tiny seats

Rather go by car or train, that is how awful it is today

or boat if I was going overseas

It even sucks on 1st class, still have the baggage fees

    unbelivable.

In the old days even couch class was good.

  • When Pan Am went so did America.

  • I love this video !!

  • Great Airline. Great people. Great service. It was a huge loss for the public to lose Pan Am. It was the ICON of the United States. Awesome. It is a pity.

  • It was fun to watch your video. We sure enjoyed our Pan Am trips!

  • wow. What can I say? This video is just intriguing to me. The music has me completely pulled in with a force. As I watch the video I think on the the amazing sights these women must have seen and I wonder where they are at now in life. As some of you state, there was a "class" about that era compared to what we have become in America now. This piano plays a haunting tune and has me listening to it over and over.

  • There are still airlines out there reminiscent to Pan Am in it's heyday. But they are all headquartered outside of the United States. Even still, I can only imagine the pleasure of being able to smoke while on a 12 hour flight.

I graduated from Pan Am training July 2nd, 1970 and flew many, many trips with Zoe Hershfield. You're right she was a legend!!! I stayed in Miami for 3 1/2 years then transferred to LAX.

  • @The391956 hi jimmy, you were treated like a king because you paid a kings ransom to fly. i am a flight attendant and really long for the old days of customer service. it's not our fault. blame the greed of the CEO's. most of my co-workers are fine people, but we are limited to what we can offer because of management. sad but true. have a good day!
