Taped from KSNW, this has to be one of the shortest sign-offs I've ever seen. It was placed at the end of a commercial break and wasn't preceeded by the SSB or any of the standard sign-off fare.
Legally, they don't have to even post the SSB or such. All the FCC requires at signoff/signon is an announcement of the station's Call Letters and City of License
You know how when stations signed off they would give the facilities of the station (Name of owner, the power of the station, studio location, etc.?) KSN stopped doing this around the early to mid 80's, the would play their ID, SSB, then sign off, and when they signed on the did SSB, ID and went into the programs.
After this aired KSN would sign off on the non-cable broadcast, but broadcast 24 hours on cable Monday-Friday. I'm not sure when they stopped using the SSB but the last time I saw it was the early 1990's.
FOR THE RECORD, SINCE 2008 (I THINK), THE TEST CARD WAS REPLACED WITH A LIVE DOPPLER RADAR
