AE 2012 update: Still bugged!

This video explains how Cammy's chain cancels are bugged in SSF4AE. Even when you link with lights on the first two linkable frames, the game still considers the links to be chains and doesn't let you special cancel.

Cammy's old lps were all +4 on hit in SSF4. Cammy's new lps in AE are +6 on hit (+7 for close lp), but still behave like they are +4 on hit when linking to other lights.

  • I don't know, but it seems that I can combo better in this 2012 version... I guess to each his/her own.

  • @emmanuelibus There were no changes to 2012 to any of Cammy's links. The bug still exists and wasn't corrected - you still can't special cancel from lights on the first two link frames of cr.lp or far lp, or the first three link frames of close lp.

  • This is just my personal opinion but maybe they purposely left the timing the way it was for people just used to Cammy since SSF4. I know after a year of playing her and pulling off her basic BnBs to the point i could do them in my sleep having to relearn the timing would have just been tedious. Besides the real loss to ae Cammy was her mix-up and pressure game.

  • @LEAFtea57 The new timing (if done correctly) would have included the old timing, so no relearning would be necessary. The old timing as it is now lets you link on link frames 3 and 4. The new timing as it should be would let you link on frames 1, 2, 3, and 4. So it wouldn't possibly screw you up in any way... and it also wouldn't mess up your timing when you start using cr.mp combos (which is the case right now).

  • @ jmastaflash1000 (again): I said close fierce after 2 lights not far. We all know about far fierce after 2 lights... it's even in the video at 1:15. And the video isn't about alternate options or combos, it's about fixing a proven bug in Cammy's normals. Thanks for watching!

  • @ Tenzsai1411: That's exactly the problem.  The links are considered to be chains when they are in fact, links. That's what this entire video proves.

    @ jmastaflash1000: That's irrelevant to the point of the video. Also you can't get close fierce to come out after 2 light attacks (Cammy's most common hitconfirm).

  • @jmastaflash1000 you're missing the point of this video. its not about combo options. uploader has already explained "having to change the timing". this video is simply about a bug, or a flaw in cammy's frame data, and it needs to be addressed. anything else is irelevant
