Institutionalize the
"citizen journalist" / Advocate into:
A private sector,
partially federally subsidized,
for profit entity
that can buy and sell stock
who acts as a clearing house for information based on a certain type of goal
that gets free air time
though an FCC mandate
that CANNOT place profits over informing
the people

...and you have a recipe for rapid structural changes in society.

You have in effect, YouTube on Television -on steroids.

Lobbyists and regulators are about to become obsolete. THEN the REAL citizen journalists will emerge.

Since the FCC controls the public airwaves via licensing the government COULD REQUIRE this ONLY for AC's however it would be to the corps benefit to do so.

Every day could be like the Superbowl for them and they could sell commercials AROUND you and I's content.

It's a win/win/win.

Also, consider that the AC is government subsidized and it does not matter what position is advocated.

THE LAST THING WE NEED IS MORE CORPORATIONS!

YOU INC has NO corporate existence without an actual corporate charter. This requires a legal declaration in the state where the corporation is to be founded and usually requires detailed legal documents to support and promote the charter.

Even a Sole Proprietor Corporation has a legal existence.

We need to reign in the existing corporations and promote the rights of citizens as elucidated in the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

City govt is a corp. We need the RIGHT kind of corp.

We need a new kind of corp that CANNOT LEGALLY put profits over INFORMING the people, is completely transparent, gets FREE media time on television AND EVERY CITIZEN can create one.

If you protect info with a new layer of corps government gets smaller and more accountable AND corporations (?C and S corps) get more accountable The problem is the Corps OWN the media - the information channel - free information and problem solved.

...we can begin to put things back the way our Founders intended. It's simple. The individual states exert the biggest portion of control. If you don't like it, you can move to a different state that suits you better.

But beyond that, we need to make it a crime punishable by death, for any politician, at any level, to take direction from anyone other than his/her constituents.

This is an old and trite statement, but for anyone who may not have heard it:

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. Unorganized "mob rule" is not appealing to me. At the same time, very well organized fascism isn't working so well either.

Our existing Constitution, along with the Bill of Rights, is still the one of the most amazing documents ever crafted. If we take all but these principles OUT of the hands of Federal Gov't, and let the states sort things out..

Capitalism and Democracy: not good bedfellows, clearly displayed around the world since the early fifties. If you want true democracy it will have to start with putting human life before money, that is real freedom and worth. All other avenues are just a smokescreen for freemarket economics.
